Oud-coureurs Scheckter en Takahashi zijn jarig

Twee oud Formule 1-coureurs vieren vandaag hun verjaardag. Jody Scheckter, eenmalig wereldkampioen, mag 66 kaarsjes op zijn verjaardagstaart uitblazen. De Zuid-Afrikaan reed 112 Grands Prix en veroverde in 1979 de wereldtitel met Ferrari. Kunimutsu Takahashi uit Japan heeft de leeftijd van 76 jaar bereikt. Hij heeft vooral zijn sporen verdiend op twee wielen, bij de motoren, maar hij stond ook één keer aan de start van een Grand Prix. In 1977 finishte hij als negende bij de Japanse Grand Prix. Bij dat eenmalige optreden bleef het.

De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Scheckter en Takahashi.
