Mario Andretti viert vandaag zijn 76ste verjaardag

Oud-coureur Mario Andretti is vandaag jarig. De Amerikaan heeft de leeftijd van 76 jaar bereikt. Andretti is een legende in eigen land en ver daarbuiten. Hij won de Indy 500 in 1969, werd C ART-kampioen in 1984 en veroverde tussendoor in 1978 de wereldtitel in de Formule 1 voor Lotus. In totaal reed hij 128 Grands Prix, waarin hij twaalf keer wist te winnen. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Andretti.

Andretti, baas! Grootheid met een hele lange en succesvolle carriere. Heb nog een kaart met handtekening hoogstpersoonlijk van Mario zelf gekregen op Zandvoort, toen hij voor Alfa Romeo reed en wij bij het team op bezoek waren in de pitbox.
