Pastor Maldonado viert vandaag zijn verjaardag

Pastor Maldonado is vandaag jarig. De Venezolaan mag 31 kaarsjes op zijn verjaardagstaart uitblazen. Maldonado was tot en met vorig jaar actief in de Formule 1. Hij verscheen in 95 Grands Prix aan de start voor Williams en Lotus en won één Grand Prix, maar vergaarde vooral bekendheid als brokkenpiloot. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Maldonado.

Hij is niet de enige oud Formule 1-coureur die vandaag zijn verjaardag viert. Teo Fabi, 64 Grand Prix-starts tussen 1982 en 1987 voor Toleman, Brabham en Benetton, is 61 jaar geworden. Op de verjaardagstaart van Danny Sullivan, vijftien Formule 1-races namens Tyrrell in 1983, staan 66 kaarsjes. En Brian Redman, twaalf Grands Prix voor Cooper, Williams, Surtees, McLaren, BRM en Shaduw tussen 1968 en 1974, heeft de leeftijd van 79 jaar bereikt.

De felicitaties gaan ook uit naar de jarige Fabi, Sullivan en Redman.
