Grand Prix geeft economie in Mexico een impuls

De Mexicaanse economie heeft flinke vruchten van de eerste Grand Prix van Mexico sinds 1992 geplukt. Het evenement stond vorig jaar weer op de Formule 1-kalender en de organisatie heeft medegedeeld dat de race een impuls van 232,8 miljoen dollar heeft opgeleverd.

Daarnaast heeft de Grand Prix ook nog eens voor 277,8 miljoen dollar aan exposure gegenereerd, berekende de organisatie. Het weekend in Mexico was qua publieke belangstelling een groot succes, met op de racedag volgepakte tribunes met maar liefst 134.000 toeschouwers.
