Alesi: "F1 een sport die een dictator nodig heeft"

De Formule 1 is gebaat bij één sterke leider die de koers van de sport uitstippelt. Dat stelt oud-coureur Jean Alesi tegenover Canal Plus. Het geharrewar met het kwalificatieformat is wat hem betreft een treffend voorbeeld van het gebrek aan visie dat als een deken over de Formule 1 ligt.

Alesi: "Persoonlijk vond ik de kwalificatie in Melbourne wel leuk. Misschien hadden ze Q3 wat moeten veranderen, maar om het helemaal om te gooien en terug te grijpen op het systeem uit 2015 is ronduit belachelijk. Ik ben een groot fan van Bernie Ecclestone, maar een nog groter fan van Jean Todt. Beiden proberen zoveel mogelijk belangstelling voor de Formule 1 te genereren."

"Ze moeten echter ook steeds rekening houden met de standpunten van de teambazen. Volgens mij komt dat de Formule 1 niet ten goede. Dit is helaas een sport die een dictator nodig heeft. Dat werkte in het verleden prima. Waarom nu dan niet meer? Tegenwoordig mag jan en alleman zich in de discussie mengen en iedereen is alleen maar met het eigen belang bezig."

    JA heeft hier wel gelijk. Ik vond het ook wel leuk om te kijken naar het nieuwe/oud kwalificatie systeem. Alleen Q3 vond ik helemaal niks.

    Misschien moet JA solliciteren :p . Als ik iets lees over JA ben ik er bijna altijd mee eens.

    Dit forum heeft trouwens ook een dictator nodig, continue al die verschillende standpunten van forumleden. Volgens mij komt dit het forum niet ten goede..

      precies, ik heb mezelf opgeworpen als de nieuwe leider van F1 today, verschillende standpunten zijn nog steeds toegestaan zolang deze vooral niet in strijd zijn met Alesi's standpunten.
