Terreurdreiging in Valencia, politieonderzoek levert niets op

De Baskische afscheidingsbeweging ETA heeft gedreigd om snelwegen en spoorwegen op te blazen in Valencia. Die Spaanse stad is komend weekend gastheer voor de Grand Prix van Europa.

De politie startte een grondig onderzoek in Valencia, maar vond geen explosieven. De controles in de op twee na grootste stad van Spanje zijn inmiddels opgeheven.

      De ETA, net als de IRA, waarschuwen vrijwel altijd ruim van te voren bij een bom, zodat er ontruimd kan worden met als gevolg veel materiële schade, en weinig onschuldige burgers. Maar het blijven natuurlijk 1e klas sukkels

    @ Slingeraap, zeker jammer, maar leeftijd is hier geen factor, zitten ook jongere aanhangers (tieners) en nog oudere bij.

    @ Raikkonen-FAN, de reden dat de ETA dit van te voren bekent maakt, heeft te maken met het goedpraten van hun acties en de publiciteit. (Terroristen willen immers publiciteit)
    Nu kunnen ze nl. zeggen dat ze gewaarschuwd hebben dat er iets gaat gebeuren, dus dan zouden de beveiligingsinstanties gefaald hebben, als er doden en/of gewonden vallen.

    Dit moeten ze toch wel serieus nemen natuurlijk. Veiligheid gaat boven alles naar vaak is het wel zo dat het niet meer dan enkel dreigen is van die terreurorganisaties.
