Titel met Ferrari ultieme doel voor Jock Clear

Jock Clear maakte halverwege vorig jaar de overstap van Mercedes naar Ferrari. De Brit, die in het verleden werkte met Jacques Villeneuve denkt dat een titel met Ferrari meer betekent dat de successen die hij tot dusver behaalde met Villeneuve bij Williams en Lewis Hamilton bij Mercedes.

Clear werkte vanaf 1999 tot en met 2015 in Brackley. Ondanks deze lange periode van hoogtepunten en dieptepunten zal een titel met Ferrari het ultieme zijn voor Clear: "Wanneer ik kampioen wordt met Ferrari is dat ongekend. Het zal beter voelen als de successen die ik met andere teams behaalde. Er heerst een heel erg positief gevoel binnen het team, dat is allemaal te danken aan het harde werk van James Allison."

Clear geeft verder aan dat Ferrari na mindere jaren in 2013 en 2014 hard heeft gewerkt het team weer succesvol te laten zijn: "Dit team neemt geen genoegen met tweede en derde plaatsen. Ze hebben niet op me gewacht tot het moment dat ik kwam, ze waren al heel hard bezig om de boel weer op het juiste spoor te krijgen. Mijn taak is om te zorgen dat alles binnen het team goed gaat zodat we het maximale uit de auto kunnen halen. We willen die titel nu wel eens weer winnen."
