Video: Eerste auto voor Roborace geopenbaard

Races met wagens zonder coureurs, voor veel autosportfans is het een schrikbeeld. Het komt er binnenkort toch echt van. Vanaf het seizoen 2016/2017 staat Roborace in het voorprogramma van de Formule E. Daniel Simon ontwierp deze bolide voor de Roboraces.

Niet radiografisch maar autonoom en dat maakt deze raceklasse bijzonder.

Ik vind het superinteressant maar zonder coureurs zijn er geen helden en volgens mij is dat een essentieel ingrediënt van elke sport.

    Soort van radiografische XL auto's, maar dan op een circuit ? ik kan hier alleen maar om lachen :-) De naam is alleen wel een beetje jaren 80.

      Het eerste jaar wordt denk ik lachen,.. dan zullen er nog zat bugs in de software zitten. Dus ik verwacht hier en daar wel een auto die ineens linksaf slaat op het rechte stuk of iets dergelijks,...

    Waarom kiezen voor elektriciteit?? Een paar jaar geleden op Discovery gezien dat een motor gewoon op lucht loopt. Dat is pas een vooruitstrevende techniek die niet vervuild.

      Wellicht omdat je geen 10 rondes 200+ km/u kunt halen op lucht (of te snel door lucht heen of te zwaar ivm te veel lucht tanks).
      Ik verbaas me inderdaad wel dat er niets meer van die karretjes op lucht gehoord wordt voor luchthaven vervoer e.d.

    Aan de ene kant vind ik het niks, want er zijn geen coureurs aan het werk achter het stuur,

    Maar aan de andere kant ben ik er wel door gefascineerd , race auto,s die autonoom rijden , sinds jongs af aan leek me dat wel mooi,

    En voor de auto industrie is het een goede ontwikkeling
