'Rosberg niet schuldig aan belastingontwijking'

De advocaat van Mercedes-coureur Nico Rosberg ontkent dat de Duitser zich schuldig heeft gemaakt aan belastingontwijking. De naam van de huidige klassementsleider dook op in de geruchtmakende 'Panama Papers'. Daarin stond dat het contract van Rosberg met Mercedes middels een aparte constructie via een 'brievenbusbedrijf' genaamd Ambitious Group Limited liep.

Christian Hertz, advocaat van Rosberg, legt uit: "In tegenstelling tot de berichtgeving bezit de heer Rosberg geen brievenbusbedrijf in Panama. Het klopt wel dat een brievenbusbedrijf voor hem is opgericht op de Britse Maagdeneilanden door advocatenbureau Mossack Fonseca."

"De enige redenen daarvoor waren kwesties met betrekking tot juridische aansprakelijkheid en de mogelijkheid om internationaal te handelen. Deze faciliteit heeft niets van doen met belastingen, fiscaal is alles correct gedaan. De heer Rosberg is woonachtig in Monaco en draagt daar belasting af. Alle inkomsten die hij van Mercedes ontvangt worden daar belast.

      Tenzij je er opgegroeid bent. Als hij zich zou vestigen in Duitsland of Finland dan zou het nieuwe woord belastingopzoeking zijn weg naar de Dikke van Dale vinden.

    subtiel verschil: belastingontwijking is gewoon legaal, belastingontduiking is echter wél strafbaar.

    Belasting ontwijking is sowieso volkomen legaal,,, iedereen gaat naar een goeie accountant om zo min mogelijk te betalen aan de overheid.... Als ik veel geld zou hebben zocht ik ook naar de beste mogelijkheden.... Vooral linkse lieden zijn deze dagen weer heel hard aan ' t blaten. ... Van die linkse die altijd voorop staan als er ergens subsidie te halen valt.. Tja.
