Alain Prost is een van de legendes van de Formule 1. De Fransman sleepte tijdens zijn carrière vier wereldtitels in de wacht. Hij beklom in totaal 106 maal het podium, maar het is vandaag exact 35 jaar geleden dat hij zijn eerste podiumplek behaalde. Namens Renault eindigde Prost in de Grand Prix van Argentinië in 1981 als derde.
