Zo ziet een stuurwiel van McLaren-Honda eruit

De term 'stuurwiel' doet de hedendaagse Formule 1-stuurtjes bijna tekort. Het zijn tegenwoordig heuse boordcomputers, met grote displays vol informatie en allerlei knopjes om afstellingen te veranderen. Honda heeft via Twitter een aantal foto's verspreid van het stuurtje in de McLaren MP4-31. De Japanse motorleverancier geeft op een van de foto's uitleg bij de functies van de verschillende knopjes.

Nou dan ben ik een dummy, maar waarom heeft mclaren een knop met 'overtake button'? En niet eentje als' overtake Alonso' of 'overtake Verstappen'? Dit riekt naar coureurs discriminatie!

      je bedoelt gewoon een stuur om de richting te kunnen bepalen en een enkele knop voor de schietstoel omdat je ander door de halo niet meer uit de auto komt als het misgaat?

      In volle race-actie waar je de auto haarscherp in de bocht moet insturen met een voor- en achterligger nog met deze knopjes prutsen is toch 1 en al kunst

      niet helemaal danny006
      ferrari heeft inderdaad 1 koppelingshendel.
      daarom zouden ze ook beter starten was een keer het verhaal.
      er zijn nogsteeds teams met 2 koppelingshendels

      @DANNY006 Het verschiltt ook van coureur tot coureur, bijvoorbeeld Nico en Lewis of Seb en Kimi hebben verschillende sturen, de een wilt 1 koppelingshendel, de ander wilt er 2

    Beter dit dan die GameBoy Pocket die ze in de Force India hebben dit seizoen. Dat stuurwieltje is wel echt het lelijkste onderdeel van de hele F1-Grid dit seizoen..

      Ben ik met je eens! Plus de reflectie van de zon in dat stuur lijkt me ook niet zo fijn. Volgens mij zag ik dat in Australie. Dan lijkt een zwart stuur mij beter!

      klopt, en het stuurwiel is nog wit ook, een zeer lelijk ding ja, en als coureur moet je er toch een heel seizoen tegenaan kijken, ik zou bezwaar maken dat weet ik wel!
