Ecclestone zoekt investeerders voor Canadese GP

Bernie Ecclestone is betrokken bij de zoektocht naar nieuw kapitaal voor de organisatie van de Grand Prix van Canada. Huidige promotor Francois Dumontier heeft moeite om het benodigde geld op te hoesten en leveranciers te betalen. Een partner is wat hem betreft welkom.

Dumontier zegt in La Presse: "Het is niks nieuws dat Ecclestone op zoek is naar investeerders. Daar heb ik geen problemen mee. Ik zocht zelf ook al naar partners. Als Bernie met iemand op de proppen komt waarmee het klikt, dan heb ik daar alle vrede mee. FOM en ik hebben een geldig contract tot en met 2024. Voor zover ik weet zijn we allebei van plan om ons daaraan te houden."

De Canadese Grand Prix op Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal staat dit jaar voor 12 juni op het programma.
