Raikkonen: "Ferrari alleen sterk op superzacht"

Kimi Raikkonen was de snelste man op de eerste dag van de Chinese Grand Prix. De Ferrari-coureur produceerde een 1:36.896 en daar kon niemand aan tippen. Toch was de Fin na afloop niet echt blij. De wereldkampioen van 2007 was nog niet tevreden over de wegligging van zijn auto.

Met name op de medium en zachte compounds kan het nog beter. Raikkonen: "Het was een listige dag. Ik weet niet of het aan de omstandigheden lag of aan de wind, maar ik gleed veel over de baan. Het voelde niet fijn. Alleen op de superzachte banden ging het lekker door de extra grip."

"Op een of andere manier hebben we het op de andere compounds veel moeilijker. De wagen is redelijk, maar het is een hele opgave om grip te halen uit de medium en zachte banden. Mijn snelste ronde was wel aardig en de lange run op de superzachte compound was ook niet verkeerd."
