Pirro fungeert in Rusland als extra racesteward

Emanuele Pirro is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen als adviseur voor de stewards bij de Grand Prix van Rusland. Sinds zijn eerste keer in Abu Dhabi 2010 vertolkte de Italiaan deze rol veelvuldig, al is dit zijn eerste keer dit jaar.

Pirro heeft zelf in de Formule 1 gereden. In 37 Grands Prix namens Benetton en Scuderia Italia scoorde hij drie punten. Meer furore maakte hij in de 24 Uur van Le Mans. De 50-jarige Italiaan schreef de lange afstands-race vijf keer op zijn naam.

Heb hem gisteren nog op eurosport gezien waar hij te gast was op de F3 Hongarije van afgelopen weekend. Lijkt me een toffee pee met zin voor humor maar ook voor realiteit.
