Force India, Williams en Manor ook volgend jaar klant van Mercedes

Mercedes heeft de FIA laten weten dat het ook volgend jaar drie teams van motoren zal voorzien. De vier motorleveranciers hebben tot 15 mei de tijd om aan te geven aan welke klanten ze volgend jaar motoren leveren.

Force India maakt al sinds 2009 gebruik van de Mercedes-motor en scoorde er tot dusver drie podiumplekken mee. Williams maakte in 2014 de overstap en is inmiddels in de dubbele cijfers beland qua podia sinds het aangaan van de overeenkomst.

Het team van Manor rijdt sinds dit jaar met de Mercedes-motor. Volgens Mercedes betreft het een langdurige overeenkomst omdat de Mercedes-motor moet gaan helpen om het kleine team van de laatste rij af te krijgen. Mercedes-talent Pascal Wehrlein is dit jaar een van de coureurs van Manor.
