Indiër Karthikeyan maakt goede kans bij Jordan

De Indiër Narain Karthikeyan maakt een goede kans op een zitje bij het Jordan team. De ex-Formule 3 coureur van Carlin Motorsport maakt na de overname van Midland een goede kans bij zijn oude teambaas Trevor Carlin en Alex Shnaider.

De 28-jarige coureur uit India heeft zoals bekend een sterke band met Midland, vooral met Trevor Carlin. Karthikeyan heeft al eerder getest voor Jaguar, Jordan en Minardi in de afgelopen jaren, onbekend met de Formule 1 is hij dus zeker niet.

De reputatie die hij heeft is snel te zijn, uitstekend in regenachtige omstandigheden maar op belangrijke momenten fouten te maken. Hij heeft ook het imago van een vriendelijk iemand en is een persoonlijke favoriet van Trevor Carlin.

Momenteel heeft het nieuwe Jordan, onder leiding van Alex Shnaider, geen coureurs onder contract. Ook Robert Doornbos aast op een plekje bij Jordan, hoe zijn kansen er momenteel voorstaan is niet bekend door de overname van Midland.
