24 uur van Le Mans in zijn geheel live op RTL 7

RTL 7 zal in het weekend van 18 en 19 juni weer geheel in het teken staan van de 24 uur van Le Mans. Voor het vijfde jaar op rij zal de autosportklassieker in zijn geheel worden uitgezonden door RTL GP. Het historische Circuit de la Sarthe zal over een maand het decor zijn voor de 84e editie van de 24 uur van Le Mans. RTL GP zal zowel bij RTL 7 als online op RTLGP.nl weer uitgebreid aandacht besteden aan de wereldberoemde langeafstandsrace.

RTL 7 zal op zaterdag 18 juni vanaf 14.00 uur uitgebreid vooruitblikken op de 24 uur van Le Mans, waarna acteur Brad Pitt om 15.00 uur het startsein zal geven in Frankrijk en de race 24 uur lang live in zijn geheel te zien zal zijn bij de RTL 7. Het commentaar zal onder leiding van autosport specialist Allard Kalff in handen zijn van een team deskundigen en coureurs.

De strijd om de algehele overwinning zal dit jaar opnieuw gaan tussen de meer dan 1000 pk-sterke LMP1-bolides van Porsche, Audi en Toyota. Porsche hoopt dit jaar haar titel te verdedigen terwijl Audi na de nederlaag in 2015 zint op revanche. Toyota wist de race nog nooit te winnen, maar zet dit jaar met een geheel nieuw prototype alles op alles om haar Duitse concurrenten af te troeven.

Ook Nederland is dit jaar weer goed vertegenwoordigd op de deelnemerslijst. Vier coureurs uit eigen land gaan het op 18 en 19 juni alle vier tegen elkaar op nemen in de strijd om de overwinning in de LMP2-klasse. Jeroen Bleekemolen verschijnt met een Oreca-Nissan van Murphy Prototypes voor de elfde keer aan de start van de 24 uur van Le Mans. Ho-Pin Tung klimt achter het stuur van een Nissan-aangedreven Alpine. Ook voormalig Formule 1-coureur Giedo van der Garde (G-Drive) en Nick de Bruijn (Eurasia Motorsport) gaan racen in de LMP2-klasse. Beide coureurs maken dit jaar hun Le Mans-debuut.

Goed nieuws! ik prefereer de verslaggeving op Eurosport, maar kan dan mooi tijdens de reclameblokken toch de race blijven volgen op TV. Heb overigens nog niet vernomen of Eurosport weer 24H live uitzendt, maar denk dat dat wel snor zit.

Maar ik ga niet klagen, ik ben sowieso blij dat het op het 'open' net te zien is. Denk dat Eurosport ook wel (delen) uit gaat zenden. Dat hoop ik tenminste.

Ha, vet! Ik kijk er graag naar, het is zowat hypnotiserend te noemen als je het aan het volgen bent, vooral in de nacht en vroege ochtend is het apart!
Moet ik wel mijn harddisk ff opschonen voor die tijd, anders past het er niet op vrees ik :)

ik heb er nu al zin in. ik kijk al jaren 24u aan 1 stuk. ook dit jaar weer. dan heeft de f1 toch heel even pech. die neem ik wel op en kijk erna wel. word een heerlijk race weekend :D
