Frank Williams draagt dagelijkse leiding over aan Adam Parr

Frank Williams heeft besloten zijn rol als Team Chairman neer te leggen. De Brit geeft de dagelijkse leiding over aan Adam Parr, maar hij blijft wel nog de officiële teambaas van Williams F1.

Frank Williams bevestigde vandaag dat Adam Parr, die sinds 2006 bij het team werkzaam is, de dagelijkse leiding van hem over zal nemen. Daarbij zal Alex Burns de rol van CEO op zich nemen. De 68-jarige Williams vertelde echter dat hij niet van plan is om het Formule 1-team te verlaten en hij zal dan ook nog altijd de teambaas blijven.

"Ik wil graag duidelijk maken dat ik hierbij niet van plan ben om te stoppen met werken", vertelde Williams. "Ik hou nog altijd van de Formule 1, heb grote invloed in het bedrijf en werk dagelijks nog bij het Formule 1-team. Ik heb nog niet besloten wanneer ik ga stoppen met werken."

Adam Parr vertelde over zijn aanstelling als verantwoordelijke voor de dagelijkse gang van zaken bij Williams: "Ik neem de verantwoordelijkheid over van Frank en zal de dagelijkse leiding van het team op mij nemen. Frank blijft de teambaas en blijft het gezicht én belangrijkste inspiratiebron van het team."
