Manager: "Senna niet aan de kant gezet vanwege geldproblemen"

Volgens verschillende bronnen in de paddock op Silverstone is Bruno Senna niet aan de kant gezet vanwege geldproblemen. De Braziliaan zal dit weekend in ieder geval niet racen voor HRT en wordt vervangen door test- en reserverijder Sakon Yamamoto.

HRT-teambaas Colin Kolles maakte het nieuws over de aanstelling van Yamamoto voor Silverstone gisteravond bekend, maar zei dat vrijdagochtend een verklaring naar buiten zou worden gebracht. Echter, op dit moment is er nog altijd niet meer informatie bekend over de situatie rondom Senna en HRT.

Bronnen beweren echter dat deze situatie niet veroorzaakt is door geld- of sponsorproblemen en dat geld überhaupt geen rol speelt. Verder zei de manager van Senna dat het absoluut belachelijk is om te beweren dat de Braziliaan ontslagen is bij het team. Senna is zelf ook aanwezig in de paddock op Silverstone, maar wil niet reageren.

Later vandaag wordt alsnog een verklaring verwacht van HRT.
