Raikkonen ontvangt vijf strafplaatsen wegens versnellingsbakwissel

Ferrari-coureur Kimi Raikkonen ontvangt na de kwalificatie voor de Grand Prix van Monaco een gridstraf van vijf plaatsen vanwege het wisselen van een versnellingsbak. Door de straf slinken de kansen op een podiumplaats of zege behoorlijk voor de wereldkampioen van 2007.

Onder de huidige reglementen mag een versnellingsbak pas na zes Grand Prix weekends gewisseld worden. Kimi Raikkonen staat momenteel tweede in het wereldkampioenschap met 61 punten.
