FIA schakelt Warwick in als steward voor Canada

Derek Warwick is door de internationale autosportbond FIA gevraagd om de wedstrijdleiding komend weekend bij de Grand Prix van Canada bij te staan. De Brit voorziet de stewards wel vaker van adviezen, eerder dit seizoen in Bahrein voor het laatst.

Warwick reed tussen 1981 en 1993 namens Toleman, Renault, Brabham, Arrows, Lotus en Footwork 147 Grands Prix. Zeges boekte hij in de Formule 1 niet, de Engelsman pakte in totaal 71 punten. Tegenwoordig is hij actief als voorzitter van de British Racing Drivers' Club.

Oh god komen ze weer met die loser aanzetten.. Behalve verkeerde beslissingen en politiek geneuzel brengt die Warwick echt helemaal niks, wat een klaploper is dat.

      Vooroordelen. Dat ik sinds mei lid ben geworden op deze website betekent natuurlijk dat ik pas sinds mei formule 1 kijk. Want alle formule 1 kijkers zitten op f1today. Goed verhaal kerel. Is het wel eens in je op gekomen dat er genoeg mensen zijn die tot voor kort niet de behoefte hadden om met mensen op internet over formule1 te praten? Vast niet.

      Ik heb even je reacties bekeken van de laatste tijd op andere berichten. Blijkt dat je meestal niet veel meer doet dan azijnzeiken. Ik kan het je dus niet kwalijk nemen.

    Was Warwick niet degene die Max een oor aannaaide met die strafpunten na dat door Button uitgelokte akkefietje, dan mag Max wel oppassen.

      Warwick is alleen een fan van Button.

      Hij heeft juist heeft een pesthekel aan Hamilton en dat steekt hij niet onder stoelen of banken. Hij zit altijd te zeiken. Laatst nog dat hij het belachelijk vond dat Hamilton niet ging testen

      Warwick was ook degene die Rosberg's opzichtige kwalifcatie truc in Monaco verexcuseerde.

      Hij houdt waarchijnlijk gewoon niet van aanvallende rijders met een berg natuurlijk talent. Beter als je gewoon netjes achter elkaar blijft rijden en een "harde werker" bent zoals hij zelf Button en Rosberg.

    Button is directeur van de BRDC.
    Die krijgt dus weer een vrijbrief om Max eraf te rammen net als in Abu Dhabi 2015.
    En o wee als Max dan gewoon door rijdt: weer strafpunten!

      Button wordt door vele als grijze muis beschouwd hier en nu beet hij een keer van zich af is het ook niet goed. Max had die plek terug moeten geven tijdens de race dan was er niks aan de hand geweest (hoe je het ook wendt of keert hij haalde Button buiten de baan in en Button zat aan de binnenkant ). Het negeren van de blauwe vlaggen en daat strafpunten voor geven sloeg nergens op.
      De laatste keer dat Warwick steward was kreeg Max geen straf(punten).
      En hij is toch niet de enigste die daar in beslist? Volgens mij is het meer een adviserende rol.
      Nee, ik geloof niet in de complottheorieën.

      Hebben we het over dezelfde race?

      Max had zelf in de eerste bocht genoeg ruimte voor Button gelaten maar werd in de tweede bocht door Button ernaast gedrukt. Max zat er toen schuin voor.

      Toen Max terug de baan op wou bleef Button in eerste instantie in de weg rijden. Max had nog steeds meer snelheid en kon gewoon ervoor invoegen.

      In mijn ogen heeft Button zich misdragen en is hij gentleman af. En de BRDC... Zou nooit meer een steward moeten leveren.

      Ik vermoed wel dat de wedstrijdleiding Max iets duidelijk heeft willen doen maken door die absurde strafpunten. Ik geloof alleen niet in een Brits complot.
