Virgin Racing hoopt Glock te behouden voor 2011

Virgin Racing hoopt coureur Timo Glock op Silverstone overtuigd te hebben van de vooruitgang die het team maakt. De Britse renstal wil Glock graag behouden. De Duitser heeft nog een doorlopend contract, maar volgens geruchten is het betere Renault geïnteresseerd.

Nick Wirth, technisch directeur van Virgin Racing, verklaarde tegenover Autosport: Het contract van Timo bevat nog een jaar, maar zoals met alles in het leven is het daarbij wel van belang dat alle partijen met elkaar door willen. Timo wist dat wij een nieuw team waren en wilde samen met ons groeien. Daarom was Silverstone zo belangrijk, omdat we hem daar hopelijk overtuigd hebben dat we daartoe in staat zijn. We mogen onszelf gelukkig prijzen dat we zo'n getalenteerde, snelle en ervaren coureur hebben, en het is aan ons om naar zijn niveau te groeien.
