Sergio Sette Camara test in juli voor Toro Rosso

Scuderia Toro Rosso ruimt bij de tweede in-season test van dit seizoen een plekje in voor Red Bull-talent Sergio Sette Camara. De 18-jarige Braziliaan rijdt op woensdag 13 juli op Silverstone. Hij neemt het stuur over van Carlos Sainz, die de eerste dag in actie komt voor Toro Rosso.

Sette Camara is dit jaar actief in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap. De Braziliaan zegt: "Ik ben heel blij en opgewonden dat ik mag testen voor Toro Rosso. Het is een geweldige mogelijkheid waar ik hard voor gewerkt heb en ik ben iedereen dankbaar die dit mede mogelijk heeft gemaakt, vooral Red Bull."

"Dit wordt mijn eerste officiële Formule 1-test en ik ga mijn best doen om er wat moois van te maken. Ik wil ook genieten, zoiets als dit gebeurt niet elke dag. Silverstone is een geweldig circuit dat ik goed ken, dat scheelt. Ik kan niet wachten om voor het eerst de pitbox uit te rijden."
