Mercedes-motor zorgt voor blije Manor-coureurs

Op de snelle Red Bull Ring voelen de coureurs met een Mercedes-motor zich als een vis in het water. Dat geldt ook voor beide Manor-coureurs. Pascal Wehrlein en Rio Haryanto eindigden weliswaar in de achterhoede, maar beide mannen zijn tevreden over hoe hun bolide het doet.

Wehrlein stuurde zijn bolide naar de zestiende tijd en is daar blij mee: "De auto voelde aan het einde van de tweede training heel goed aan, hopelijk kunnen we dat meenemen naar de kwalificatie en race. Jammer genoeg konden we niet alles doen door de regen, maar daar had iedereen last van. Onze auto lijkt goed te zijn op deze baan."

In de andere Manor had Haryanto wat meer tijd nodig om op gang te komen, maar de Indonesiër spreekt van een goede eerste dag: "Helaas had ik een spin in de ochtendsessie en dat kostte me een set banden. De auto was in de tweede training goed in balans en het ziet er goed uit."
