Toyota leek op weg naar de overwinning in de 24 uur van Le Mans, maar een paar minuten voor de finish viel de leidende auto met startnummer 5 stil op het rechte stuk. Heel pijnlijk voor het Japanse merk en Toyota heeft lang nodig gehad om de teleurstelling een plekje te geven. Deze terugblik op de 24 uur van Le Mans 2016 moet daar aan bijdragen.
