IBM tot en met 2020 verbonden aan Red Bull Racing

Het team van Red Bull Racing heeft het contract met partner IBM Spectrum Computing opengebroken en met vier jaar verlengd. IBM voorziet Red Bull Racing van apparatuur en software om data zo snel mogelijk te verwerken. Het logo van het bedrijf blijft tot en met 2020 achter op de side-pods van de auto's van de Oostenrijkse renstal staan.

Matt Cadieux, chief information officer bij Red Bull Racing: "Het doet ons deugd dat we ook de komende vier jaar op de steun van IBM kunnen rekenen. Ze hebben ons al geholpen bij het boeken van grote winst op gebied van productiviteit met onze High Performance Computing-middelen. Hun programma's vormen een sleutelelement om de hoeveelheid data die wij kunnen verwerken te maximaliseren."

Deze post krijgt weinig reacties maar misschien is dit wel het beste nieuws van deze week. Data is zo ontzettend belangrijk. Als je kijkt hoe vooruitstrevend Mercedes is op dit gebied kan RBR hier misschien wel een hele grote stap maken. De motor is volgend jaar minder belangrijk dan dit jaar. En... [Lees verder]
