Red Bull Racing neemt nu meer nieuwe voorvleugels mee

Red Bull Racing rust de auto's van beide coureurs voor de Grand Prix van Duitsland met een nieuwe voorvleugel uit. De voorraad nieuwe vleugels is nu iets groter dan op Silverstone, waar Mark Webber zijn nieuwe voorvleugel af moest staan aan teamgenoot Sebastian Vettel en daar danig verbolgen over was.

Teambaas Christian Horner hoopt dat het aantal nieuwe voorvleugels dat Red Bull Racing naar Hockenheim heeft meegenomen genoeg is. De nieuwe voorvleugel is terug dit weekend. Het plan is om er het hele weekend mee te rijden en beide rijders beginnen de vrije trainingen met zo'n nieuwe vleugel. Hopelijk hebben we er voldoende bij om Mark en Sebastian het hele weekend te ondersteunen. Het zijn er in elk geval meer dan twee.

Maar mocht het zover komen dat keuzes gemaakt dienen te worden, dan gaat de voorkeur nu uit naar Webber omdat die hoger staat in het kampioenschap. Horner: Als het onderdeel faalt zonder enige schuld van de coureur, Vettel kon er in Silverstone niets aan doen, dan gelden dezelfde regels. Maar we werken hard om niet weer in die onwenselijke situatie te komen.
