Hülkenberg verliest zevende plek wegens kwalificeren op onreglementaire banden

Nico Hülkenberg kwalificeerde zich met de Force India op een keurige zevende plaats voor zijn thuisrace op de Hockenheimring. Echter werd na de kwalificatie al vrij snel bekend dat de zevende plaats ter discussie stond omdat de Duitser op banden zou hebben gereden die volgens het reglement na de derde vrije training ingeleverd hadden moeten worden. De FIA heeft onderzoek gedaan naar het incident en Force India schuldig bevonden.

Door de straf start Nico Hülkenberg niet op de zevende plaats, maar op de achtste plaats. Ondanks de straf start Hülkenberg nog steeds in de top tien. Hiermee is het de Duitser gelukt zijn serie van top tien starts tijdens de Duitse Grand Prix te verlengen.

      Waarschijnlijk is de onreglementaire tijd gewoon verwijderd, en is dit dus wel degelijk een straf.

    Waarom valt hij 1 plaats terug?
    Is alleen de rondetijd waarmee hij 7e werd geschrapt en had hij nog een andere tijd gezet in de kwalificatie waarmee hij dus achtste is geworden?

    Ik begrijp deze straf niet. Als je onreglementair deelneemt dan is de enige mogelijke straf toch een DSQ?

    Ook nog nooit eerder gezien dat er 1 plaats gridstraf werd gegeven. Of hebben ze alleen een ronde van hem op verkeerde banden geschrapt waardoor Hulkenberg nu op P8 terecht komt?
