Luca di Montezemolo bijt op zijn lip over Ferrari

Luca di Montezemolo is deze week afgereisd naar Rio de Janeiro, waar vandaag de Olympische Spelen beginnen. De voormalig voorzitter van Ferrari gaat daar lobbyen voor het Italiaanse bod om de Olympische Spelen van 2024 te organiseren.

Aangekomen in Brazilië moest de Italiaan zijn best doen om niet al te diep in te gaan op de huidige situatie bij zijn oude liefde Ferrari. Gazzetta dello Sport citeert Di Montezemolo: "Ik hou van Ferrari, dus het is beter als ik daar niet al te veel over zeg."

Dat hield hij niet heel lang vol, want aan Leo Turrini vertelde hij vervolgens: "Ik praat niet over Ferrari, al wil ik wel kwijt dat het me pleziert dat Sergio Marchionne van mening is dat er formidabele mensen bij het team rondlopen. Dat is mooi, maar dat was twee jaar geleden ook al zo, want ik heb die mensen allemaal aangenomen."

    En maar natrappen die kerel. Net zoals toen hij verbolgen was dat Corrinna ook hem niet inlichtte over de situatie van Michael.
    Ooit een getalenteerde hardwerkende en succesvolle topper. De laatste jaren een aan zijn eigen ego ten onder gegane dwaas in de categorie Freek de Jonge.

      James is niet weggestuurd. Zijn vrouw is overleden terwijl zijn kinderen moederloos achterbleven in Engeland. De man was verslagen. Dat is natuurlijk ontzettend moeilijk te begrijpen dus dan is het makkelijker om een conspiracy te geloven dat Ferrari hem wegtrapt en dan met een lulverhaal over zijn dode vrouw komt en James vervolgens als een klein kind zonder iets te zeggen van het toneel verdwijnt.. Pfoe...echt jongen.

      @Duthreath, we weten niet of Allison de laan uit is gestuurd of dat hij er zelf voor heeft gekozen. Door de plotselinge dood van zijn vrouw was het ook niet meer te doen voor Allison om zo vaak heen en weer te reizen tussen Italië en GB om er te kunnen zijn voor z'n kinderen. Die man heeft zijn hoofd nu, terecht, bij andere zaken. Het is ook toevallig dat de updates van Ferrari de laatste tijd niet het gewenste resultaat bieden. Denk dat het voor beiden dan beter is dat ze uit elkaar gaan, ook al komt het Ferrari nu niet goed uit met de aanstaande regelwijzigingen en dus kansen. Wat kwalijk is dat ze bij Ferrari niet mensen opleiden, zoals bij RBR gebeurt, om iemand op te kunnen vangen. Ik blijf het maar raar vinden dat ze iemand van de motor afdeling naar voren hebben geschoven.

      @Rimmer: Ach, als het 'm zo gevraagd wordt is het toch niet heel vreemd dat hij er toch iets over los laat? Hij is zelf gewipt wegens tegenvallende resultaten, en kijk hoe Ferrari er nu voor staat... Het is vrij menselijk om er dan toch een sneertje te laten vallen.

      Rimmer@ je bent wel erg naïef als je dit verhaal geloofd. James stond al een tijdje ter discussie binnen Ferrari als je de bronnen mag geloven. Het overlijden van zijn vrouw is nu als excuus in de pers naar buiten gebracht. Maar je kunt gerust aannemen dat Ferrari doelbewust heeft aangestuurd op een ontbinding van James Alison zijn contract. Het strookt ook precies met de mentaliteit van Italianen en in dit geval met Ferrari als middelpunt. Paniekvoetbal is hen niet vreemd, en dat hebben we in het verleden dan ook maar al te vaak gezien van Ferrari.

    Ik begrijp Luca wel.

    De man, de uitverkorene door Enzo himself. Mensen zijn graag vergeteetachtig, maar ik bewonder de man enorm en ben hem heel dankbaar voor wat hij Ferrari bracht. En niet enkel in de F1.

    De straatwagens zijn kunstwerken gebleven, maar dan wel betrouwbaar. Ferrari werd het meest waardevolle merk ter wereld en de verkoop - ook al bleef de exclusiviteit staande - vloog de pan uit.

    In de F1 bracht hij samen met een hecht blok het team naar ongekende successen.

    Zelfs het feit dat hij oppergod Schumacher opzij schoof ( it's a cruel world) kan ik hem vergeven (niet vergeten) omdt hij handelde voor het merk.

    Ik heb liever een LdM die 100x uitstraling heeft en leeft voor zijn passie: Ferrari.
    Ook al zevert hij wel eens in de media, maar hoe zou je zelf zijn in zijn situatie?
    Zijn ware liefde bedroog hem...maar het is nog steeds zijn muze...

      Cavallino je helemaal gelijk. Wat had ik Luca graag met Vettel zien samenwerken. Ik denk dat Sergio deze man nooit had moeten laten gaan. Luca maakte het merk Ferrari puur.
