Mercedes het vaakst met beide auto's aan finish

Het team van Mercedes heeft in de eerste twaalf races van 2016 het vaakst met beide wagens de finish gehaald. Lewis Hamilton en Nico Rosberg haalden in elf Grands Prix gezamenlijk het einde. Alleen in Spanje was dat niet het geval, maar daar ging het gelijk goed mis.

In Barcelona kwamen Hamilton en Rosberg met elkaar in aanvaring in de eerste ronde, waardoor ze allebei uitvielen. Dat was de enige keer dat een Mercedes-rijder niet aan de meet kwam. Force India, Williams en Red Bull Racing brachten in tien Grands Prix beide bolides aan de finish.

Ik mis toch wel de wat oudere F1 waarin veel motoren gewoon plofte en men iets minder vaak de finish haalde, maar de auto's wel meer afgesteld waren op de limiet!
