Basso directeur bij McLaren Applied Technologies

McLaren Applied Technologies heeft Rodi Basso benoemd tot motorsportdirecteur. Basso is afkomstig van Magneti Marelli en hij was eerder als engineer werkzaam voor onder meer Ferrari en Red Bull Racing. Hij zal niet direct betrokken worden bij de dagelijkse gang van zaken bij de renstal, maar als motorsportbaas van de technologie-tak kan hij ook niet om het Formule 1-team heen.

Basso: "McLaren staat wereldwijd bekend als symbool voor performance en uitmuntendheid, en McLaren Applied Technologies heeft naam gevestigd als marktleider in haar segment. Het is dan ook een voorrecht voor mij om leiding te geven aan de auto- en motorsportactiviteiten van McLaren Applied Technologies. Ik sta te popelen om voort te borduren op de bestaande relaties en te praten met klanten om onze producten verder te ontwikkelen aan de hand van hun wensen."
