Sauber vindt elfde positie ronduit onacceptabel

Het team van Sauber kan weer met een positief gemoed naar de toekomst kijken. Door de overname door Longbow Finance is de Zwitserse renstal uit de financiële zorgen. Sportief gezien is het echter nog steeds kommer en kwel. Sauber staat dit jaar laatste bij de constructeurs.

Het team scoorde dit seizoen nog geen punten. De elfde plaats kan grote consequenties hebben voor de inkomsten uit de prijzenpot. Het is voor Sauber dan ook zaak om zo snel mogelijk weer de top tien te bestormen. Het liefst dit seizoen al en anders uiterlijk volgend jaar.

Teambaas Monisha Kaltenborn: "Nu de basis weer stabiel is, is het veel makkelijker om vooruit te plannen en het team terug te brengen naar waar we thuis horen, namelijk de middenmoot. De elfde positie is ronduit onacceptabel. Volgend jaar moeten we hoger meedraaien, daar mag geen twijfel over bestaan."

    Ik zie geen enkele verklaring van Monisha waarom een ander team deze plek meer verdient.

      Er is niks mis met mijn begrijpend lezen.

      Mijn reactie was geen reactie op jouw reactie (anders had ie er wel als reactie gestaan en niet als losse post).

      Toen ik de mijne plaatste stond de jouwe er nog niet. Zoals je kunt zien zijn ze in dezelfde minuut geplaatst.

    Ik vind het zelfs leuk om te zien van Manor door al hun inspanningen de rode lantaarn kwijt zijn.
    En dat Haas zo uitstekend presteert maakt het plaatje rond.

    Tja... Sauber is geen schim meer van het team wat het ooit was. Ooit was het DE plek naast Jordan om je in de kijker te rijden bij de grote teams. Maar het nu een team zonder ziel. Het team straalt niets meer uit, de passie voor het racen lijkt weg. Het is een nietszeggende B.V. geworden als het ware. Erg jammer.
