Renault heeft moeite met vinden personeel

Renault heeft laten weten grote moeite te hebben met het snel vinden van veel en goed personeel. Voor aanvang van het seizoen spraken de Fransen de ambitie uit het personeelsbestand flink te willen uitbreiden om terug te keren naar de top van de Formule 1. Eind vorig jaar namen veel personeelsleden afscheid van het toenmalige Lotus vanwege de onzekere toekomst.

Momenteel heeft Renault 500 medewerkers, voor het einde van het jaar moet dit aantal gestegen zijn naar 590. Managing director Cyril Abiteboul over de situatie: "We liggen achter met de ontwikkeling van het team. Dit wordt mede veroorzaakt doordat we niet snel genoeg de goede mensen aan kunnen trekken. Het vinden van personeel is lastiger dan vooraf verwacht."

Abiteboul laat in gesprek met Autosport weten dat het vinden van de juiste mensen mede veroorzaakt wordt door het feit dat veel goede mensen onder contract staan bij andere teams: "Uiteraard zijn er goede mensen bij andere teams, maar die hebben een contract. Het duurt uiteraard nog even voordat die contracten afgelopen zijn. Daarnaast moeten we ze zien te overtuigen om voor ons te komen werken. Dat laatste is het grootste probleem."

Abiteboul laat weten het niet te kunnen begrijpen dat mensen niet willen werken voor een sterk en ambitieus merk als Renault. Abiteboul doet dan ook een oproep aan alle mensen in de Formule 1 die overwegen bij Renault te gaan werken: "We zijn een sterk en ambitieus team en we zijn heel serieus wanneer het aankomt op het slagen van ons Formule 1-project. Hopelijk zijn de nieuwe mensen die volgende maand beginnen het bewijs dat werken voor een team als Renault een fantastische uitdaging is."

Zal ook wel meespelen dat Renault zo af en toe even uit de F1 stapt. De baanzekerheid is daarmee niet helemaal top. Teams met een lange historie zullen mogelijk wat aantrekkelijker zijn in dat opzicht.

  Welke baanzekerheid? Bestaat allang niet meer, wanneer een topteam niet goed draait vliegen ze er daar net zo snel uit, ongeacht hoelang een team al achter elkaar in de F1 zit.

Gister stond er ook zo'n artikel.. Maar goed. Misschien verwachten die Fransen wel dat hun werknemers de Franse taal uitmuntend onder deknie hebben in woord en geschrift.

  Het team zit in Engeland ...Zeker F1-fan sinds een paar weken ?
  Enkel de motoren worden geproduceerd in Frankrijk (Viry). De rest van het team zit in Enstone, Oxfordshire (UK). Dus niet plausibel.

  Ik begrijp niet waarom het ons zoveel moeite kost om mensen te overtuigen van de ambities van Renault met het Formule 1-project en onze toewijding richting de Formule 1' Snap ik ook niet. Wellicht iets met Salaris.

Ieder heeft zijn prijs, tactiek van overname vorig jaar van Lotus geeft mij niet het idee dat Renault ruim betaald of bereid is ruim te betalen.

Ik vind het ook lastig om een Bugatti Veyron te vinden om aan te schaffen.... Voor €100,- ....
