Video: Dakar Kamaz versus WRC Volkswagen

Hoe verhouden een Dakar-truck en een WRC-auto zich met elkaar? Red Bull nam de proef op de som en liet een Kamaz 4326 het tegen een Volkswagen Polo R WRC opnemen. Strijdtoneel was Ouninpohja, een bekende proef uit de WRC-rally van Finland. Dat levert dan deze beelden op.

    haha, de WRC versie van dat akkefietje tussen De Rooy en Vatanen in de woestijn van Afrika! Het is dat de Kamazki op 150 km/h is afgeregeld, want volgens teambaas Vladimir Chagin zou dat ding 200 plus makkelijk aan kunnen.

    ach dit is toch niks in vergelijk wat Jan de Rooy deed bij de fabrieks Peugeot op de afrikaanse woestijnvlakte. gewoon met de truck voorbij stuiven alsof de Peugeot stil stond.

      Klopt, dat was een ontmoeting met 200 per uur!

      Daf 95 X2: twee 11 liter motoren met elk 600 pk, samen 1200pk topspeed: 220kmh

      Kamaz heeft twee versies: een met een 16 liter motor van YAMZ, die vanwege de regelementen is afgeregeld op 850 pk, topspeed 150
      De tweede komt komende december in actie: een Torpedo met 12 liter Liebherr motor en 950 PK, ook die is afgeregeld op 150 km/h

      Stiekem wil ik de jaren 80 terug, waar is die hot tub time machine

    Blijft toch een bijzonder gezicht, een truck met 4 wieltjes van de grond. Prachtig. Waarom geen World Truck Championship op WRC proeven?
