Rosberg begint met schone lei aan tweede helft

Mercedes-coureur Nico Rosberg heeft hetgeen zich in de eerste seizoenshelft heeft afgespeeld uit zijn geheugen gewist en hervat de jaargang in België met een schone lei. De Duitser had na de Spaanse Grand Prix nog een voorsprong van 43 punten op teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton. Dat is inmiddels omgebogen in een achterstand van negentien punten.

Rosberg probeert daar niet te veel aan te denken. "Ik heb heerlijke weken met mijn familie doorgebracht en ben helemaal tot rust gekomen. Ik heb van elke minuut genoten en de batterijen zijn opgeladen, maar nu is het tijd om weer aan het werk te gaan. Ik vang de tweede seizoenshelft aan met een schone lei. Wat er tot op heden dit jaar is gebeurd is verleden tijd."

"Ik kan niet wachten om in de auto te springen en het gaspedaal in te drukken. België is een geweldig circuit om de tweede helft van het jaar af te trappen. Spa is een fantastisch circuit en staat bol van de uitdagingen. Vaak gooien gekke weersomstandigheden de boel door elkaar. Elke coureur houdt ervan om op deze baan te racen en ik ben geen uitzondering."

      Als je Lewis er nu eens per ongeluk goed aantikt aan het einde van het rechte stuk zijn er waarschijnlijk meer mensen die staan te juichen dan mensen die boos op je worden...

      @Mkma Kimi, Nee daar had Rosberg gewoon op zijn rem moeten trappen. Precies zoals hij aan het eidne van de race wel deed tegen Verstappen. Dat zijn nou eenmaal de regels. Degene die voor rijdt heeft recht op de racelijn.

      @F1osaurus, hoewel ik het iets anders zie ging het me meer om het verschil in beoordeling van Rosberg en Hamilton. Als Rosberg een actie uithaalt dan wordt hij vaak bekritiseerd terwijl Hamilton er altijd mee weg komt (zoals Canada, maar ook Austin en Suzuka vorig jaar).

      Ik ga niet zeggen dat Rosberg geen fouten heeft gemaakt maar als Hamilton iets overkomt (bijvoorbeeld Spa '14) dan is het huis te klein en wanneer Hamilton iets flikt bij Rosberg dan hoort het ineens bij racen.

      ik denk niet dat we een nieuwe Rosberg gaan zien hoor...zodra het tegenzit gaan we hetzelfde liedje krijgen...zn contract heeft ie toch al binnen.

    @Sennalover: iedereen heeft kans op een podiumplaats. Mercedes AMG heeft maar 2 auto's in de strijd gegooid en er zijn 3 podiumplaatsen. De kans op de 1e of 2e plaats is voor de anderen wel lastig...

    Tsja, Rosberg weet dat Hamilton weer 1 of 2 races met technische malheur zal zitten dus Rosberg heeft ook weer eens kans om te winnen. Dat zijn de tijden dat Rosberg "ijzersterk" is. Beetje zoals Jaap van FC Knudde altijd geweldig kon scoren tijdens de rust.

    Het RAM-geheugen van Nico is weer leeg, dus kan hij er weer flink tegenaan. Tot de man met de hamer komt en weer een tik uitdeelt. Dan knijpt ie 'm weer.

    Zolang je het gaspedaal maar indrukt en niet anderen er afdrukt vind ik alles best. En over je batterijen gaat me niets aan. Dat zijn je privé zaken en dat je daarvan geniet gaat mij ook niets aan. :)
