Sullivan vertolkt in België rol van extra steward

Danny Sullivan is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen als oud-coureur ter ondersteuning van de wedstrijdleiding voor de Grand Prix van België van komend weekend. De Amerikaan adviseerde de stewards vorig jaar in Mexico voor het laatst.

Sullivan heeft maar één seizoen in de Formule 1 gereden. In 1983 kwam hij uit voor Tyrrell en scoorde hij in vijftien Grands Prix twee punten. Meer roem vergaarde hij in de Verenigde Staten door in 1985 de Indy 500 op zijn naam te schrijven en in 1988 kampioen te worden in de IndyCar.

Het zal me jeuken wie die stewards allemaal zijn, en hoe ze heten. Zolang ze vanaf de vrije trainingen t/m de finishvlag maar objectief en vooral consequent zijn.
