Rosberg: "Gewoon niet snel genoeg in deze kwalificatie"

De kwalificatie voor de Grand Prix van Italië is voor Nico Rosberg teleurstellend verlopen. De Duitser zal niet bijzonder ontevreden zijn met zijn tweede startplaats, maar het gat met teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton zou hem zorgen moeten baren: bijna een halve seconde gaf hij toe op de Brit.

Op de persconferentie werd Rosberg gevraagd of er een probleem was dat het gat kan verklaren. "Er is geen probleem met de auto. Het grootste probleem is dat Lewis zijn beste kwalificatie in lange tijd had. De beste uitleg die ik kan geven is dat hij een aantal goede ronden reed. Ik heb tot nu toe ook een redelijk weekend en had ook goede ronden vandaag, maar het was gewoon niet genoeg."

Rosberg viel vorig jaar uit in Italië. Toen hield zijn auto het, met nog twee ronden te gaan, voor gezien. Suggesties dat hij zich wil revancheren voor dat resultaat wuift de Mercedes-coureur weg. "Ik denk niet aan vorig jaar, maar alleen aan de race van morgen. Ik start als tweede en heb dus een goede kans. Het zou echter wel geweldig zijn om een goed resultaat te behalen in Italië omdat het een speciale plek voor mij is en het is geweldig om hier te racen."

    0,5 seconden verliezen over 'n circuit met 11 bochten is best pijnlijk..

      Het zijn vooral de rempunten die het verschil maken op Monza. Dat is de specialiteit van Lewis ten opzichte van Nico.

      Er was wel een seizoen dat Rosberg meer poles scoorde dan Hamilton en dat waren er heel veel , dus zo voorzichtig is Rosberg nu ook weer niet ;-)

      Dat was het seizoen dat Hamilton steeds met gemak langs Rosberg reed tijdens de race.
      Inmiddels heeft Rosberg ook begrepen dat hij zijn auto ook voor de race moet afstellen en niet alleen op de kwalificatie.

      Nu Rosberg in beide situaties een klein beetje langzamer Hamilton. In plaats van een paar tienden sneller tijdens de kwalificaties en een halve seconde tot een seconde per ronde langzamer tijdens de races

      Dat boeit niet , noem mij dan maar eens 1 coureur die dat voor elkaar heeft gekregen , de meeste teamgenoten van Hamilton kwamen niet eens in de beurt qua poles , maar Rosberg kwam niet alleen in de beurt , hij heeft hem zelfs overtroffen , dat wil wel wat zeggen...

    Op sommige banen is Hamilton gewoon niet te kloppen, en Monza is er 1 van.
