Blundell adviseert wedstrijdleiding in Singapore

Mark Blundell is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen om de drie racestewards bij te staan bij de Grand Prix van Singapore. De jarige Brit fungeerde vorig jaar in China voor het laatst als adviseur van de wedstrijdleiding.

Blundell reed zelf van 1991 tot en met 1995 in de Formule 1. Hij startte in totaal in 61 Grands Prix voor teams als McLaren, Tyrrell, Ligier en Brabham en scoorde daarin 32 punten. Blundell schreef in 1992 de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam en hij zegevierde ook drie maal in de Champ Car.

    Heel goed, want dat betekent dat Max weer rare dingen mag doen (Blundell is stiekem fan van Max, gaf hij enkele dagen geleden aan).

      Max mag op (of over) het randje met verdedigen of aanvallen en gaat de andere partij jammeren over de boordradio dan volgt onherroepelijk een drive-through (of erger).
      Blundell heeft belooft wat dat aangaat een lik-op-stuk beleid te hanteren, en hij zal geen mogelijkheid onbenut laten om mensen die in het verleden kritiek op Max hadden zwaar te straffen (de geruchten gaan dat Blundell; aftrek van punten, race-licentie en zelfs ouderwetse lijfstraffen overweegt)! Iedereen die geen Max Verstappen heet is dus gewaarschuwd!

      Er ligt van Blundell al een draaiboek klaar, waarbij na 6 rondjes de saftycar wordt ingezet en VES zich een ronde voorsprong mag doen. Rijdt er daarna nog iemand in de weg bij VES krijgt die sukkel gelijk de meatball. Saai? Ja, nou en?

      VERSTOPPEN, "want dat betekent dat Max weer rare dingen mag doen", een domme zin, Max heeft volgens mij en de wedstrijdleiding niks fout gedaan, dat er sommige watjes (lees, mannen zonder of met hele kleine balletjes) lopen te miepen, tja dat zegt al genoeg en te zien aan je profielfoto zit jij nog in de categorie kleine balletjes. :)

      @Bill, inderdaad, Mark Blundell is het kwade genie achter crashgate 2.0, de coureur op kop krijgt de opdracht om volgas de muur in te sturen om zo een safetycar situatie af te dwingen en Max aan kop van de race te krijgen. Ik ben zeer benieuwd

    Misschien wel een leuk baantje voor Jos. Hij heeft nu toch minder te doen. En als Max dan een fout maakt, ach dat hoort dan bij het racen.

      Jos heeft al aangegeven dat hij dit niet ziet zitten, wel zei hij dat eerste beste keer dat Warwick weer racesteward is hij had aangeboden om ernaast te zitten en hem te assisteren waar nodig....

      Ja lijkt me dat er wel een foto van Blundell te vinden moet zijn.
      Wel mooie foto van het Marina Bay Sands hotel, zag vorig jaar tijdens de gp ook beelden voorbij komen van mensen die met een drankje lekker in de fraaie rooftop pool naar F1 aan het kijken waren, dan heb je het écht niet slecht!
