Mercedes-Benz heeft in Singapore een mijlpaal in de Formule 1 bereikt. Voor de 150ste keer sleepte een coureur met aandrijving van het Duitse merk pole position in de wacht. Nico Rosberg en Lewis Hamilton hebben nu samen 58 pole positions voor Mercedes behaald. Dat is meer dan welk ander rijdersduo voor één en hetzelfde team heeft gehaald in de geschiedenis van de sport.
