Williams baalt van matige kwalificatie

Voor het team van Williams verliep de kwalificatie voor de Grand Prix van Maleisië enigzins teleurstellend. Feliipe Massa start de race als tiende, terwijl Valtteri Bottas nog een plekje verder naar achteren start. In de strijd om de vierde plek bij de constructeurs moet Williams alle zeilen bij gaan zetten om in de race meer punten te halen dan Force India.

Ondanks een tiende startplaats is Felipe Massa niet ontevreden met het verloop van de kwalificatie, maar wel met het uiteindelijke resultaat: "De kwalificatie verliep over het algemeen goed, al hadden we verwacht wat hoger te eindigen. In Q2 had ik voldoende snelheid, maar het was wel een intens gevecht om uiteindelijk in Q3 te komen. Helaas lukte het daar niet om verder naar voren te komen, we zitten niet op de plek waar we horen. Morgen is de race en dat is natuurlijk een ander verhaal. Hopelijk vallen de strategie en het weer onze kant op zodat we een goed resultaat neer kunnen zetten."

In de andere Williams kende Valtteri Bottas een naar eigen zeggen listige kwalificatie: "Dat was een niet zo eenvoudige sessie voor ons. Ik was niet helemaal tevreden met de voorkant van de auto. In de derde training voelde de auto beter aan, terwijl ik in de kwalificatie last had van onderstuur. Omdat het zo dicht bij elkaar zit is het verlies van een tiende dan al cruciaal. Morgen is de race en heb ik een vrije bandenkeuze en dat helpt me hopelijk om naar voren te komen. We moeten voor Force India finishen en ik denk dat dat nog steeds mogelijk is."

Moeten ze het roer eens drastisch omgooien. De rijders moeten ook wel helpen natuurlijk . Ik heb niet het idee dat dit lukt. Hopelijk volgend haar honda.motoren kvyat en ocon erin

  Die Schouten! LOL! Zo kun je overal wel een verhaal van maken. Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord moeten het roer ook maar eens omgooien, en Messi en Ronaldo halen. Hopelijk speelt F.C. bal op het dak volgend jaar in de Amsterdam Arena, met Zlatan, en Neymar.
  
  Wat een kolder vent. Hetzelfde als overal het geroep van jou over, dat Ricciardo de setup van Max gebruikt. Teveel naar Jack Plooij geluisterd zeker? Max, EN Ricciardo hebben wat zaken veranderd aan hun setup, doormiddel van de engineers. Die hebben wat gevonden, en dat werkt voor beide erg goed! man man man! Wat voor spul rook jij Schouten? Daar wil ik ook wel een paar kilo van. Lijkt me heerlijk om compleet van het padje te zijn! :)

Ik denk dat ze staan waar ze horen. Het zal pijn doen dat FI het met minder middelen beter doet maar op het moment lijkt het gevoel dat Williams beter zou moeten zijn vooral gebaseerd op historie.
