Blundell adviseert de wedstrijdleiding in VS 2016

Mark Blundell is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen om de drie racestewards bij te staan bij de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten. De Brit fungeerde eerder dit seizoen in Singapore voor het laatst als adviseur van de wedstrijdleiding.

Blundell reed zelf van 1991 tot en met 1995 in de Formule 1. Hij startte in totaal in 61 Grands Prix voor teams als McLaren, Tyrrell, Ligier en Brabham en scoorde daarin 32 punten. Blundell schreef in 1992 de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam en hij zegevierde ook drie maal in de Champ Car.

Zijn er niet oud coureurs die wat jonger zijn die adviezen kunnen geven? Man, man de sport is veel te snel voor dit soort mensen geworden. Lijkt Willem van Hanegem wel: wij deden het vroeger beter (maar het spel toen was 10x langzamer)
