Nico Hülkenberg: "Renault wil winnen, net als ik"

Force India-coureur Nico Hülkenberg maakte tussen de Grands Prix van Japan en de Verenigde Staten bekend dat hij zijn huidige werkgever na dit seizoen verruilt voor Renault. In Austin kwam de Duitser uitgebreid aan het woord over zijn aanstaande transfer.

Hülkenberg krijgt bij Renault eindelijk de kans om bij een fabrieksteam aan de slag te gaan. Hij moet de Franse renstal naar successen dirigeren. "Renault heeft hoge verwachtingen en ambities voor de toekomst. Ze willen winnen, net als ik. Maar de weg naar de top is nog lang."

"Dit is de juiste stap in mijn carrière op dit punt. Ik ben ver gekomen met Force India, dit is mijn vijfde jaar en we hebben mooie resultaten behaald samen, maar het is tijd voor een nieuwe uitdaging. Dit is precies wat ik zocht. Ik wil van Renault een succesverhaal maken."

    Dat willen ze allemaal. Net als wereldkampioen worden. Maar zo makkelijk is dat niet. Kijk naar McLaren. Een team dat bewezen heeft dat het weet hoe het moet, Lukt het niet zomaar om überhaupt in de buurt van het podium te komen.

      Verschil tussen McLaren en Renault is dat Renault wel een team heeft met dezelfde motoren dat bewijst dat het halen van het podium mogelijk is met deze motor. Hierdoor is het heel duidelijk waar het probleem zit bij de huidige auto's, namelijk het chassis.
      McLaren en Honda moeten het zonder zo'n maatstaf stellen. En dus is het altijd de vraag of het aan de motor of het chassis ligt als iets niet lukt.

    Je meent het???? Je wil winnen... Ha ha... Of het de juiste keus is moet je altijd maar afwachten, dat hebben er al heel wat gedacht toen ze naar een ander merk overstapte.....

    Ik ben overgestapt van een LG naar een Samsung maar ben er nog niet uit of dat de juiste keuze is geweest.... :)

      Haha mooie vergelijking. De keuze zal bijna net zo moeilijk zijn geweest als de Hulk z'n keuze ;) Ik gun hem het beste in ieder geval, hij heeft mooie dingen laten zien in zijn loopbaan vóór de F1, al is natuurlijk niet alles te vergelijken met F1.
