Force India houdt testrijder Di Resta op Spa aan de kant

Testcoureur Paul di Resta neemt vrijdag tijdens de eerste vrije training niet de plek van een van de vaste racecoureurs in. De Schot kwam dit jaar al meermalen in actie in de eerste sessie van een Grand Prix-weekend, maar zijn team Force India houdt hem in België aan de kant. Vitantonio Liuzzi en Adrian Sutil krijgen alle tijd om te wennen aan nieuwe aerodynamische onderdelen.

Di Resta: Jammer genoeg mag ik op Spa niet met de auto de baan op. Zonde, want dit is een unieke baan. We hebben echter werk te doen aan het blown diffuser-concept en de lage downforce-afstelling, dus het is begrijpelijk dat de vaste rijders alle tijd krijgen om zich aan te passen. Het is jammer dat het op zo'n geweldig circuit gebeurt, maar ik heb er vrede mee. We zijn een team en we zijn vol in gevecht voor de zesde plaats bij de constructeurs. Mijn kans komt in Monza wel weer.
