Van der Garde kampioen in Europese Le Mans Series

Giedo van der Garde heeft een titel aan zijn palmares toegevoegd. De Nederlander won samen met teamgenoten Simon Dolan en Harry Tincknell de ELMS-race op het circuit van Estoril. Omdat concurrent TDS wegviel met technische problemen, veroverde het trio van G-Drive Racing de titel in de Europese Le Mans Series.

Een blije Van der Garde gaf als commentaar: "Natuurlijk ben ik verguld met dit succes. Voordat we naar Portugal afreisden had ik al het gevoel dat we het zouden kunnen flikken en we hebben het gewoon gedaan. De pitcrew heeft het goed gedaan, het hele team heeft puik werk geleverd. Om mijn eerste seizoen in de Europese Le Mans Series af te sluiten met de titel is natuurlijk geweldig."

Vanavond is Van der Garde te gast in het programma Peptalk, vanaf 19.00 uur te zien op Ziggo Sport.
