Oud Formule 1-coureur Ian Ashley is vandaag jarig. De in (West-)Duitsland geboren Brit heeft de leeftijd van 69 jaar bereikt. Ashley was in de jaren zeventig van de vorige eeuw actief in de Formule 1. Namens teams als Token, Williams, BRM en Hesketh probeerde hij zich elf maal te kwalificeren voor een Grand Prix, wat hem vier keer lukte. Zijn beste resultaat is een veertiende plaats in Duitsland 1974. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Ashley.
