De Formule 1 is toen aan de negentiende ontmoeting van het seizoen 2016. Het Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez vormt het strijdtoneel voor de Grand Prix van Mexico. Dit circuit wat al voor een deel in de jaren 60 werd gebruikt is sinds vorig jaar weer terug op de kalender. Hoeveel weet jij over deze Formule-race? Een paar dingen kloppen niet.

De Cesaris werd in 1991 hier 4e door zijn auto over de finish te duwen daar kreeg hij destijds 3 punten voor.

En Modena werd uitgesloten waardoor hij dus niet mee mocht doen. Dat is iets anders dan gediskwalificeerd worden

  Dat klopt dan weer wel. Het was inderdaad de 100e GP start van Senna.

  Als je kijkt bij de uitslag staat er toch echt gediskwalificeerd.
  En volgens de Dikke van Dale is "tot diskwalificatie besluiten = uitsluiten" dus twee verschillende woorden met zo`n beetje de zelfde betekenis.

  Er zit wel degelijk een verschil in diskwalificatie en uitsluiting. Bij diskwalificatie worden de behaalde uitslagen geschrapt. Bij uitsluiting (ook het geval bij Modena) mag je helemaal niet meedoen. Dat probeerde ik duidelijk te maken.
