Tim Coronel verheugt zich op Dakar Pre-Proloog

Komend weekend staat de RTL GP Dakar Pre-Proloog op het programma en dat is traditioneel het Nederlandse startschot voor Dakar 2017. Na een lange zomer van voorbereiding is het zondag 30 oktober dan echt zo ver. De monteurs van het Maxxis Dakar Team zijn tot in de late uurtjes druk om de 2017 specificatie Dakar Buggy's klaar te krijgen voor de Pre-Proloog waarna ze half november al op de boot gaan richting Zuid Amerika. Tim en Tom Coronel kijken er naar uit om er komende zondag een mooi spektakel van te maken en de nieuwe Maxxis Dakar Buggy aan het publiek te tonen.

Het Maxxis Dakar Team is ook dit jaar weer goed vertegenwoordigd. Buiten Tim en Tom Coronel om zullen ook Maikel Verkade en Robert van Pelt een gooi doen naar een mooie klassering in het motorklassement op het Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard. Tim en Tom Coronel zullen om de beurt proberen de titel in het autoklassement te pakken waar Erik van Loon vorig jaar mee aan de haal ging. Kees Koolen zal in Valkenswaard nog niet aanwezig zijn, maar zal tijdens Dakar 2017 ook weer onder de Maxxis Dakar-vlag rijden.

Tim Coronel: "We hebben er erg veel zin in en zijn trots dat we onze nieuwe Buggy's eindelijk aan het publiek kunnen tonen. Eigenlijk draait het om het vermaken van het publiek, maar stiekem willen we toch altijd wel winnen. We gaan er weer een mooi feestje van maken en dit jaar is de waterbak een onderdeel van het parcours dus dat wordt dolle pret. Het publiek is gewaarschuwd, maar wees niet bang, de Maxxis Dakar Buggy heeft geen voorruit dus wij zullen zelf ook wel een beetje nat worden."

Aantal jaar geleden geweest en op verzoek van de organisatie met het OV gegaan. Lang verhaal kort ik stapte om 8 uur uit de trein en stond om 1 uur (LOPEND!!!) op het circuit. TL;DR: kom op de fiets
