Epsilon Euskadi heeft budget voor 2011 nog niet rond

Epsilon Euskadi is een van de gegadigden voor het dertiende startbewijs voor volgend seizoen, maar de voorbereiding verloopt alles behalve soepel. De Spaanse aspirant-deelnemer heeft de begroting voor 2011 bijvoorbeeld nog niet rond.

Epsilon Euskadi-baas Joan Villadelprat liet AS weten: De FIA is op de hoogte van ons project en moet nu kiezen uit de drie overgebleven kandidaten. We hebben onze situatie uitgelegd, inclusief de financiële stand van zaken. We zijn vastberaden om het budget voor 2011 rond te krijgen, al zijn we nog niet zo ver.

Over een mogelijke fusie met Hispania Racing zegt hij: Ik weet niet waar die informatie vandaan komt. We hebben alleen gesproken over een samenwerking waarbij wij technische ondersteuning bieden. Hispania is een mogelijke klant, meer niet. We hebben nooit gesproken over een fusie, al wil ik geen enkele deur in het slot gooien.
