Jaime Alguersuari heeft vandaag met zijn elfde startpositie zijn beste resultaat ooit behaald. De Spanjaard was hiermee ook teamgenoot Sebastien Buemi te snel af en hij hoopt op meer regen tijdens de race morgen.

Alguersuari reed de dertiende tijd, maar zal de race als elfde starten door penalty's van Michael Schumacher en Nico Rosberg. "Op de slicks ging het erg lekker en de balans van de auto was ook erg goed, want daar hadden we gisteren veel tijd in gestoken. In mijn laatste rondje waren bocht 13 en 14 wad glad waardoor ik daar wat tijd verloor. Daarmee verloor ik een plaats in Q3."

"Eerlijk gezegd had ik nooit verwacht dat ik zo hoog zou starten. Ik hoop wel dat het morgen gaat regenen, want daarin is onze auto erg sterk", aldus Alguersuari.
