Vijf coureurs met 'halo' in de eerste vrije training

Vijf auto's zullen tijdens de eerste vrije training voor de Braziliaanse Grand Prix uitgerust zijn met de 'halo'. Van Romain Grosjean (Haas F1) en Marcus Ericsson (Sauber) was het al duidelijk dat ze het systeem om de hoofden van de rijders beter te beschermen uit zouden proberen op Interlagos.

Ook Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India) en Jolyon Palmer (Renault) rijdens in de eerste training voor Brazilië met de halo. Het hoort bij het uitgebreide testprogramma van de teams en de FIA om het systeem te ontwikkelen voor introductie in 2018.
